Three Year Limited Warranty

HullVac Pump Corporation warrants that its vacuum pumps, under normal and proper use, shall be free from manufacturer's defects in material and workmanship for a period of three years, unless otherwise authorized. Minor deviations that do not affect the performance of the equipment shall not be construed to constitute a defect in material or workmanship.

HullVac's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, at HullVac's option, non-consumable parts. Consumable parts are specifically excluded from this warranty; these include, (but are not limited to) pump fluids, elastomers, shaft seals, valve decks, and belts. For the first year, parts, and labor will be supplied free of charge. In years 2 and 3, parts will be supplied free of charge while labor will be charged at the then current shop rate. In-warranty repaired or replacement parts are warranted only for the remaining non-expired portion of the original warranty period applicable to the repaired or replaced parts. After expiration of the applicable warranty period, the customer shall be charged at the then current prices for parts, labor, and transportation.

HullVac or its authorized agents are the sole determiners of warranty claims. HullVac and or its authorized agents determine warranty obligation after receipt and inspection of the pump at its facility. HullVac must grant authorization prior to return shipment. At that time, HullVac will indicate the proper repair location and issue a return authorization number. The pump must be securely packaged, drained of all fluids and residue, and shipped prepaid with EPA inspection/contamination report where necessary.

The pump must be inspected upon receipt for obvious and concealed shipping damages. If damage has occurred, it is the customer's responsibility to notify and file damage claims with the delivery company.

Liability under the warranty shall be voided when:

  1. Any major repair or any replacement of or modification is made to the pump by any person other than a HullVac authorized service facility, or by personnel or persons working under supervision of Hull personnel unless specifically authorized by HullVac in writing.
  2. The pump was not operated in compliance with the applicable HullVac Operating Instruction Manual.
  3. The pump has been subjected to abnormal operation or improper maintenance.
  4. Damage due to accident, lack of care, or failure to repair.
This warranty is the only express warranty made in connection with the sale of the HullVac pump. Neither HullVac nor the seller assumes or authorizes any person to assume any other obligation or liability on its behalf in connection with this warranty.

To the extent allowed by Law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose applicable to these pumps is limited to the duration of this written warranty. Neither HullVac nor any selling dealer shall be liable for any loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, or consequential damages.

HullVac's warranty applies to the vacuum pump only. The motor and other purchased component parts are covered by the component manufacturer's standard warranty.
